::If
you're fluent in Romanian, you may like my book from 2006; or
wait until it will be translated
into German (anytime soon, I hope...). The book is about death and
dying
("The Threshold and the Void. Attempts to Circumscribe Death",
Polirom, Iasi, 304 p. ). It was awarded the "I. P. Couliano"
debut-prize; I aimed at constructing
a
theoretical understanding of today's manners of approaching death.
:: The
subject has been deepened and amplified in the upcoming - slightly
thicker - book called "Moartea moderna, intre poetica si
tanatologie ("Modern death at the crossroad between thanatology and
poetics"). It's an atypical study of both Swedish and Romanian ways of
approaching death - finished in November 2008, but currently
stuck in the financial void of the publishing house.
